Today I have some very sad news to share.
Last week Stig managed to stand on himself and sustained what initially looked like a fairly minor wound; however, this ended up with him in emergency surgery. The initial scans did not look very good at all and the vet prepared me for the worst. Unfortunately, Stig had cut his deep digital flexor tendon at the back of his long pastern and in the vets own words "It was a terrible wound that on first glance looked superficial". The vet pretty much made the decision for me and Stig was not woken from the anaesthetic.
As you can imagine I'm completely heart broken and can't believe he managed to do so much damage after everything we've been through over the last year to 18 months.
This beautiful boy will be missed each and every day, sweet dreams and hugs always 😘

Bye Bye Rebel . . . . .
I would like to thank everyone who shared the posts about Rebel or took part in the photo competition. Rebel has gone to his new home and will be sadly missed here but new adventures await with his fabulous new family.
The pictures below are of him 2 days before he left, him leaving the Farm here, him arriving at his new yard and Finally him starting his new life with his new jockey 🙂
